The dish that started it all
Our St. Louis Kitchen Fried Rice Special has been on the menu since 1994 and remains the single most-ordered dish in the restaurant. It's built on the same recipe our founder used on opening day, and it's often the first thing regulars order for anyone they're introducing to the restaurant.
Long-standing favorites
- Cashew Chicken, St. Louis Style — the dish most first-time guests are pointed toward.
- Pork Pot Stickers — consistently our top-selling appetizer.
- Mapo Tofu — the dish most requested by guests who ask us for something spicier.
- Hot & Sour Soup — ordered on nearly every table during colder months.
Why these dishes have staying power
Each of these has stayed on the menu, unchanged in its core recipe, for most or all of the restaurant's history. Regulars tend to notice quickly if a recipe drifts, so keeping these dishes consistent has been a priority even as the rest of the menu has grown.
Try them yourself
If you're ordering for the first time, starting with two or three of these gives you a reliable read on what St. Louis Kitchen is about before you branch out into the rest of the menu.
