Our Story
Three decades of family cooking on Delmar Blvd
St. Louis Kitchen opened in 1994, started by a family that cooked professionally in Guangdong before settling in St. Louis. What began as a twelve-dish menu has grown into a full Cantonese and Szechuan kitchen — still family-run, still cooking everything to order.
What hasn't changed since 1994
- Dumplings are hand-folded in-house every morning before service.
- Every dish is cooked to order in a wok, never batch-prepared ahead of time.
- Our brown gravy for cashew chicken still follows the founder's original recipe.
- We're still family-owned and family-run, on the same stretch of Delmar Blvd.
Where we fit into St. Louis food culture
St. Louis has its own Chinese-American food identity, and we're proud to be part of the generation of restaurants that built it — from the city's signature cashew chicken to the family-style ordering that makes a shared table so easy to build around here.
