Why lunch specials are such good value

Chinese lunch specials typically pair a smaller portion of an entree with rice, and often a spring roll and soup, at a meaningfully lower price than the same dish at dinner. It's a format built for the weekday work crowd, and it remains one of the best-value lunches in St. Louis.

How to choose from a lunch menu

  • Pick one dish you already know you like as a quick, reliable order on a tight lunch break.
  • On slower days, use lunch as a low-cost way to try a dish you haven't ordered at dinner prices.
  • Ask whether the lunch portion includes soup or a spring roll — most kitchens include one but not both.

Our lunch service

St. Louis Kitchen runs lunch specials daily from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, built around the same dishes on our full dinner menu but sized and priced for a weekday meal. It's the fastest way to try our cashew chicken or General Tso's chicken without committing to a full dinner portion.
